Alumnus Thomas Ikimi Makes His Silver-Screen Debut

Alumnus Thomas Ikimi’s ’04 latest film, Legacy, will be released in select U.S. cities on October 15. In New York, the film will show at the AMC 25 on 42nd Street. Ikimi majored in literature-writing and wrote and directed Legacy, which was nominated for Best U.K. Feature at the Raindance Film Festival.

Born in Westminster, London, Ikimi attended primary school in Nigeria, and secondary school in England before enrolling at GS to complete his bachelor’s degree. His student film, Limbo (2005) landed a spot as one of twelve films chosen as an Official Selection at the Taormina International Film Festival in Sicily, Italy. He currently lives in London where he writes and develops screenplays.

Legacy tells the story of a Black Ops agent who returns home to Brooklyn after a botched mission in Eastern Europe.
