Applications are open for student workers to staff this year's Reunion Weekend, which will take place from Thurs., May 28 - Sat., May 30.

Join the Columbia GS Office of Communications and play a hands-on role in shaping the stories that define the GS experience! We are seeking students to work as Editorial Assistants, Digital Content Assistants, and Social Media Ambassadors. These roles offer unique opportunities to create engaging, audience-driven content that connects GS students, alumni, and the broader Columbia community across web and social platforms.

A select number of GS students will be chosen to collaborate with Columbia faculty on part-time research projects during the summer.

Students are invited to nominate their peers for Student Leadership Awards, which are presented to students who have distinguished themselves through their leadership and service on campus to both the GS community and the wider University community.

The Columbia School of General Studies is seeking two GS work study students to work as Student Life Office Assistants.

Students will have the opportunity to invite a Columbia or Barnard faculty member to Marlow Bistro for dinner and conversation.

Student veterans are invited to apply to be GS Veteran Peer Mentors for the 2026–27 academic year. This peer mentor program is designed to help incoming student veterans transition into academic life at General Studies, as well as offer support to all GS student veterans. Both U.S. and international student veterans, including those who have served in foreign military forces, are warmly encouraged to apply, as diverse experiences and perspectives strengthen our community.

The GS Office of Academic Affairs provides financial support for students conducting research under the mentorship of a Columbia-affiliated faculty member.

The GS Mentor Program invites incoming students to apply to be paired with a mentor, and returning students to apply to serve as mentors.
