This fall, the Supreme Court will decide the constitutionality of affirmative action in the landmark case of Fisher v. University of Texas, in which a woman claims she was denied admission to the school due to her race.
The decision will force other institutions to examine their affirmative action policies and decide whether this process creates a more positive learning environment, or if merit alone should be the basis for admission.
