The Lenfest Distinguished Columbia Faculty Award recognizes the excellence of faculty as teachers and mentors of both undergraduate and graduate students within and outside the classroom setting. Established in 2005 with a $12 million gift from the late University Trustee Gerry Lenfest, the award not only carries with it professional recognition, it also provides an unrestricted stipend of $25K each year for three years.
Students may nominate full-time faculty appointed in the Arts and Sciences. Nominations should include a description of the candidate’s distinction in relevant areas.
