Apply to the Postbac Program Student Advisory Board

The Postbac Premed/Prehealth Program at the School of General Studies invites currently registered Postbac students to apply to be part of a Postbac Program Student Advisory Board. The Advisory Board is intended to provide a venue for incorporating student perspectives into decision-making about the program’s activities. The Board will play an active role in developing new programs and services, and will help ensure that current services remain as effective, supportive, and accessible as possible.

Position Description and Time Commitment

  • Board members will attend monthly meetings with the Postbac Deans to share their opinions and perspectives on current and future programming for the Postbac Program.
  • Board members will also work with the Deans of the Postbac Program to ensure that current services are responsive to student needs. Board members will be encouraged to suggest new types of programming and services.
  • Occasionally serve as a representative of the Postbac Program to the GS/Postbac Community

Position Requirements

  • Must be a current GS Postbac student.
  • Must be in good academic and disciplinary standing.
  • Must have strong interest in and commitment to improving the Postbac community.
  • Must be able to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Must be responsible and dependable.
