Join the Office of Student Life in reading and discussing Matthew Desmond’s Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City. Evicted is a non- fiction book where the author follows eight families in Milwaukee, Wisconsin as they each struggle with poverty and homelessness following the financial crisis of 2007-2008. This space will offer the opportunity to engage in a critical discussion regarding poverty, economic exploitation, and affordable housing. To participate, students must read the book prior to the program. The Zoom link to participate will be emailed to registrants 30 minutes prior to the start of the event. If you have not received the Zoom link at this time please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
