Position Description
The Take10 Program is a Mount Sinai Hospital system-wide initiative in all of their locations, East Side, West Side, Beth Israel, Queens and Morningside. The program, supporting all staff including doctors, nurses, housekeeping, therapists and more by creating a respite and inviting them to take a break, is looking for volunteers to join their team.
Volunteering not only impacts staff, but provides networking opportunities and can complement medical career goals as well as giving a humanistic well-rounding to an individual. Volunteers have included college students who became nurses and doctors or individuals who simply wanted to give back to hospital workers. Interested applicants will go through an onboarding process with their Volunteer Department, take an hour-long orientation, and then shadow a Take10 visit.
Time Commitment
Part-time with 4 hours per month and a minimum of 6 months commitment to the program
