Position Description
Weill Cornell Medicine is accepting applications for the Fall 2023 cohort of the Research Associate Program (RAP), a volunteer program that exposes undergraduate and post-baccalaureate students to research activities in an emergency care setting. The program is designed to involve Research Associates in many elements of the performance of research while providing opportunities for observing clinical practice and interacting with clinical providers and patients in Emergency Department.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing familiarity with patient enrollment for ongoing studies and establishing a practice for data management, data entry, and data analysis
• Learning about ethics and informed consent
• Working with diverse patient populations
• Learning how to approach patients in the Emergency Department

• Participating in faculty-driven virtual lecture series, monthly meetings, and annual research symposium

Time Commitment
Part-time, with shifts from 9 a.m.–3 p.m. and 3 p.m.–9 p.m., seven days a week, excluding certain holidays and based on students’ academic schedule; participants must complete two shifts per week for two consecutive semesters and attend scheduled trainings or lectures two to four times per semester
