Position Description
Columbia University researchers are conducting a national study to learn how dentists engage families of young children with tooth decay to promote preventive behaviors. This study requires Interviewers to conduct 45-60 minute structured video-call interviews with dentists and hygienists during times that they are available (including evenings and weekends across all US time zones).
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting video-call interviews with dental professionals regarding their counseling families to adopt healthful dietary and hygienic behaviors.
- Reviewing transcriptions of interviews and coding responses following research protocols.
- Producing and transmitting accurate, detailed, timely, and organized interview records.
- Conducting briefings with the research team to provide status updates.
- Using electronic and online technologies for communicating with research team members and research participants.
Position Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED. Current college students encouraged to apply.
- Prior professional experience in public health, nutrition, medical or related fields.
- Previous roles demonstrating excellence in conducting qualitative, and analytical research, including interviewing research participants, with minimal supervision.
- Experience interacting with professional clients or organizations.
- Experience with research data management software like Qualtrics, Nvivo, or RedCap.
- CITI or RASCAL Human Subjects Research Certification
- Interest in health behavior and health care.
Time Commitment
Part-time, 20 hours a week, with an end date of Nov. 19, 2021. Consistently available at least two nights each week between 5pm and 10pm EST and consistently available for at least 5 hours between 8am and 8pm Eastern every weekend.
Compensation
$20/hour
