Position Description
Fifth Avenue Millennium Aesthetic Surgery is seeking a pre-medical college graduate to work as a Medical Assistant (MA) in our Upper East Side Plastic Surgery practice. Applicants must be personable, well-spoken, have excellent computer skills, and willing to learn quickly. The MA will have many clinical responsibilities and learning opportunities, working closely with the Plastic Surgeon. The MA will be trained by the current full-time MA as well as the current part-time MA.
Responsibilities Include:
- Preparing patients' paperwork prior to surgery
- Answering patient calls and emails, and scheduling patient appointments and ordering supplies
- Seeing patients before, during, and after surgery in the in-office operating room
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, ideally graduate of the Postbac Premed program
Time Commitment
Part-time candidacy possible, full-time preferred; one-year commitment
