Position Description
The Weiskopf Laboratory at the Whitehead Institute is seeking to hire a Technical Assistant, who would begin Spring/Summer 2024. The Weiskopf laboratory studies the interaction between cancer and macrophages, cells of the innate immune system that can engulf and destroy pathogens via phagocytosis.
Responsibilities Include:
- Designing and performing bench-level experiments and independent research projects to support the scientific research objectives of the lab
- Analyzing experimental data, address methodological problems in experimental protocols, and report data to the supervisor
- Conducting laboratory tasks and organization to ensure the smooth operation of the group
- Prioritizing and organizing workflow
- Optimizing methodologies and results
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in biology or in a related degree
Time Commitment
Full-time, commitment of two years
