Position Description
Fromer Eye Centers is seeking a surgical technician who, under direction from nursing personnel and physician providers, will perform direct patient care activities such as assisting in patient preparation for surgery/procedure and assisting in maintaining a clean, organized, and prepared work environment.
The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of all operating/procedure room equipment, including emergency equipment used in code situations. They will maintain a working knowledge of surgical instruments used by the surgeons in the center, along with the care, maintenance, and knowledge of various sterilization techniques used in the processing of the instrumentation.
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or GED certification
- Completion of surgical scrub technician course
- Operating room experience
- Strong ethical and moral character references
- CPR/BLS
- Ability to work extra hours if needed a plus
- ASC experience a plus
