Position Description
Hospital for Special Surgery is looking for a post-baccalaureate research technician with previous research experience and a background or interest in medicine and basic science research. This position is ideal for someone looking to develop their research skills over one or two gap years before pursuing medical or graduate school. The successful applicant would work with Dr. Cathleen Raggio, a pediatric orthopedic surgeon at Hospital for Special Surgery, to investigate various skeletal dysplasia disorders and potential treatments.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assisting with mouse studies, including drug preparation, injections, dissections, data collection through imaging and histology, and weekly internal lab meeting presentations
- Meeting and working with biotech company partners
Time Commitment
Full-time, minimum one year commitment beginning in May 2024
