Position Description
The Merad Lab at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking research technician who will work with human specimens.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing high-dimensional cutting-edge technologies, such as: CITEseq, single-cell RNAseq, CyTOF
  • Performing various standard experimental assays including but not limited to: PCR, flow cytometry, MICSSS, cell and tissue culture
  • Conducting various IRB approved laboratory human samples digestions and isolations
  • Collaborating with other team members in developing plans, organization analysis and review of experimental data for publication and presentation
  • Learning new experimental procedures, as necessary
  • Ensuring work is in compliance with the currently approved protocols, with Good Clinical Research Practice (GCP), and with applicable regulatory requirement(s)
  • Assisting in organization and upkeep of laboratory supplies, workspace, and equipment
  • Working independently and collaboratively in a matrixed environment

Position Requirements

  • BA or BS in science or a related field
  • Advanced degrees a plus
  • Prior laboratory experience
  • Laboratory experience with programming experience a plus
  • Training for single cell assays (CITEseq, scRNAseq, CyTOF) will be provided, but understanding of the assay is expected
  • Proficient use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and computational software
