Position Description
The Targoff Lab in the Department of Pediatrics and Columbia Stem Cell Initiative at the Columbia Medical Center is seeking a research technician to study the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying cardiovascular development and regeneration using the zebrafish as a model system, also expanding studies into the fields of transcriptional regulation, cardiac mechanobiology, and stem cell biology. The research technician will learn skills related to molecular biology, zebrafish husbandry, confocal microscopy, and cardiac injury to study regenerative potential in the adult zebrafish heart.
Position Requirements
- Background in biology, genetics, or biomedical engineering a plus
