Position Description
The Center for Global Health at Weill Cornell Medical College (WCM) invites applications for a 1-2 year research associate position offering unique opportunities to participate in global health research focused on health engagement in global settings. The associate will be based at WCM with the opportunity to travel to international research sites to work closely with study teams.
Responsibilities Include:
- Supporting ongoing international research activities in Uganda and India, and elsewhere as needed
- Participating in scientific activities including global capacity building in qualitative research methods, performing quality assessments of interviews/focus groups, and providing general support with ongoing qualitative research activities
- Working closely with their local project managers to ensure qualitative data collection is progressing on schedule
- Acting as a liaison with the Investigator team
- Participating in qualitative data analysis, manuscript preparation, dissemination of results, and development of future research proposals
Position Requirements
- English fluency
- Undergraduate degree, preferably in social science or global health
- Willingness to travel to study sites for a few weeks at a time (all international travel subject to approval by the Medical College)
- Prior qualitative research experience (especially in a low- and middle-income country) a plus
Time Commitment
Full-time, minimum one-year commitment
