Position Description
The Solomonov Lab at the Weill Cornell Medicine Department of Psychiatry is looking for a skilled and highly motivated research assistant to joint their interdisciplinary collaborative team working within the exciting intersection of computational and clinical neuroscience and clinical psychology. The candidate will participate in randomized controlled trials of psychotherapy for mid- and late-life depression and postpartum depression. This position is ideal for a candidate who is interested in pursuing doctoral studies in neuroscience, clinical psychology, or medical school later on.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assisting in analysis of datasets spanning clinical, behavioral, and neuroimaging modalities
  • Participating in randomized controlled trials of psychotherapy for mid- and late-life depression and postpartum depression
  • Contributing to data collection, including clinical and cognitive assessment administration and collection of neuroimaging data at MRI scanning sessions
  • Conducting literature reviews and gaining expert familiarity with research protocols and statistical analysis plans
  • Assisting in creation of study databases, data cleaning, quality control, and dataset preparation
  • Conducting quantitative coding and computational analysis of study data
  • Performing statistical analysis of clinical, behavioral, and neuroimaging datasets
  • Assisting in the preparation of materials, submissions, and renewals to the Institutional Review Board (IRB)
  • Working alongside Dr. Solomonov in the preparation of grant submissions and associated documentation, conference abstracts, figures, and manuscripts
  • Prepare results and interpret findings with opportunities for authorship on conference manuscripts and peer-reviewed manuscripts

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or related field 

Time Commitment
Full-time, with a two-year commitment
