Position Description
The Weill Cornell Medicine, Department of Neurological Surgery Roger Härtl Research Team is seeking a research assistant who will provide research, data analysis, and operational support to principal investigators and research coordinators for clinical research studies.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating the recruitment and enrollment of study participants. Assessing patient eligibility for inclusion in clinical trials. Ensuring proper consent protocols have been followed for study participation.
  • Assisting with departmental mailings, including patient medical records. Ensuring accuracy of recipient contact information and location for correct delivery.
  • Conducting literature reviews and gains expert familiarity with protocols that will be used as templates.
  • Assisting in the creation of study database.
  • Managing and entering collected data into study database.
  • Conducting qualitative coding and thematic analysis of study data.
  • Performing statistical analysis of research data.
  • Assisting in the preparation of materials, submissions, and renewals to the Institutional Review Board (IRB) or IACUC.
  • Assisting faculty in the preparation of grant submissions and associated documentation, which may include just-in-time documents, progress reports, routing forms, abstracts, and manuscripts.
  • Performing other related duties as directed.

Position Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • Bachelor's degree is a plus.
  • Approximately one year of related experience.
  • Statistical and database management experience, including proficiency in SPSS and/or REDCap.
  • Previous clinical research experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.

Time Commitment
Full-time, starting in summer 2023 with a two-year commitment

Compensation
$22.03 - $28.79 per hour
