Position Description
The NYU Grossman School of Medicine's Department of Population Health (DPH) is looking for a Program Coordinator to provide administrative and research support to the Policy and Program Evaluation group (PPE) and Community Service Plan group (CSP), who will have a central role on both teams. The Program Coordinator will work closely with NYU faculty and staff, working collaboratively with diverse individuals, teams, and populations both internally and externally.
Responsibilities Include:
- Organizing and coordinating schedules, activities, site visits, and special events with collaborators and consultants as necessary
- Managing calendars, setting up and coordinating meetings
- Coordinating projects and programs, communicating with internal and external parties to organize and coordinate the various components needed to initiate, run, and conclude Project/Program activities
- Preparing and reviewing documents independently and generating status/progress reports for ongoing and pending projects or programs
- Providing administrative support including order supplies, arranging travel for study team members, ordering and distributing participant incentives, processing staff reimbursements, and submitting invoices for subcontractors and vendors
- Assisting in the recruitment, hiring, and training of clerical staff, assistants, trainees, and volunteers for the project/program/department
Position Requirements
- Bachelor degree or equivalent in business administration, public administration, healthcare administration, public health, psychology, or related discipline
- Two years experience coordinating project/programs for an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications
- Effective oral, written, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management to work and communicate effectively with individuals both internal and external to our team
