Position Description
The office of Drs. Diane Berson & Emily Lebowitz is seeking a student to work as a medical assistant at their private dermatology practice. This experience is tailored towards students looking to gain valuable clinical experience during a gap year(s) before medical school.
Responsibilities Include:
- Setting up for and assisting with patient procedures
- Interacting with patients and providing patient education
- Conducting administrative work such as charting and scheduling appointments
- Contributing to clinical studies/presentations
- Communicating with other physicians' offices and laboratories
- Being a point of contact between patients and their insurance companies/pharmacies
