Position Description
The New York Cosmetic, Skin, & Laser Surgery Center is seeking a medical assistant who will work alongside the physicians in their office. The candidate will learn how to use surgical instruments as an assistant to assist with laser treatments and various surgical procedures. They will also have ample opportunity to do clinical research - previous medical assistants have gone on to medical school, PA school, and physical therapy school. Candidates are expected to be quick learners and team players.
Responsibilities include:
- Getting patients' medical histories
- Assisting in procedures and surgeries
- Prescribing medications to patients
- Verifying insurance
- Checking patients in and out
- Running the daily duties of the office
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 3.3 GPA
- One letter of recommendation
Time Commitment
Full-time (30-40 hours a week) with a minimum commitment of two years
