Position Description
The Columbia University Irving Medical Center Department of Dermatology is seeking a highly organized and motivated Clinical Research Coordinator to lead the Clinical Research Unit of the Cutaneous Oncology Program. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in coordinating clinical trial visits and translational research projects, writing grants and study protocols, and facilitating collaboration with pharmaceutical companies and other academic institutions. This position offers great opportunities to collaborate with medical student research fellows and contribute to advancements in cutaneous oncology.
Responsibilities Include:
- Recruiting, screening, and enrolling eligible participants into clinical trials
- Maintaining accurate participant records and documentation throughout the study duration
- Collecting and managing research data, including data entry, verification, and quality assurance procedures
- Assisting with the preparation and submission of regulatory documents, such as Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications, amendments, and annual reports
- Coordinating study-related procedures, including scheduling participant visits, specimen collection, and study assessments
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent in relevant education, training, and experience
- 2 years of progressive related experience
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
- Prior experience in clinical trial settings a plus
