Position Description
The Cancer Clinical Trials Office within the Tisch Cancer Institute (TCI) is seeking a clinical research coordinator (CRC) to assist in the daily activities of clinical research studies. TCI is an NCI-designated cancer center providing comprehensive care that was established with the vision of creating a multidisciplinary approach to clinical care and clinical research.
The CRC works closely with principal investigator(s) in the implementation, development, and management of clinical trials. CRCs play an integral part on the study team in that they ensure the trial activities progress smoothly.
Responsibilities include:
- Collecting and recording study data; inputting all information into database
- Under direct supervision of the principal investigator(s), obtaining informed consent and educating participants regarding study requirements
- Assisting in the activities related to clinical research studies including but not limited to answering phone calls, screening participants for eligibility, registering subjects with sponsoring agency, and administering lifestyle questionnaires
- Maintaining source documents and subject files in accordance with hospital procedures; helping ensure accurate and complete compilation of subject data through chart reviews
- Securing, delivering and shipping clinical specimens as required by the protocol
- Organizing and preparing for monitoring visits
- Assisting with coordination and management of clinical trials including communication with sponsors
- Performing other related duties as assigned
Position Requirements
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Bachelor's degree in science or closely related field a plus
- Experience in a hospital or academic (research) environment a plus
Time Commitment
Full-time
Compensation
$58,661–$80,000 (based on a variety of factors including experience, education, and hospital need)
