Position Description
The Center for Health + Technology (CHeT) is seeking a clinical research associate to join their team in transforming healthcare through novel applications of technology to neurological diseases.

CHeT is an organization at the University of Rochester that seeks to use technology to advance clinical research and ultimately improve the lives of patients. This position is ideal for candidates looking for a ~2 year clinical research experience before entering graduate or professional school (MD, PhD, DDS, MBA, etc).

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting in-clinic technology-related research visits (using smartphone apps and wearable sensors) and form meaningful relationships with participants
  • Performing virtual visits and assessments with participants nationwide to accelerate clinical trials and help transform research methods
  • Drafting research protocols, coordinate recruitment, enrollment, and evaluation of participants
  • Drafting and editing manuscripts
  • Becoming a published author in leading peer-reviewed journals (our work has been published in journals including Nature, JAMA, NEJM, and Cell)
  • Presenting abstracts at national and international research conferences
  • Working closely with national leaders in Parkinson’s disease care and research

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1-2 years of research, clinical care, coordination, and/or technology experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Time Commitment
Full-time, with a flexible, hybrid work schedule. Two-year commitment is preferred.
