Dual BA Program students will earn two bachelor's degrees—one from Trinity College Dublin and one from Columbia University.
The first two program years at Trinity consist of 120 ECTS credits/60 Columbia University points, followed by two years at Columbia (128 ECTS credits/64 Columbia points). In addition, students are required to complete 30 ECTS worth of additional modules for Trinity while at Columbia.
Years One and Two
As part of the Dual BA Program, students choose from one of the following program areas at Trinity:
- Classics, Ancient History and Archaeology
- English Studies
- European Studies
- Geoscience: Geography and Geoscience
- History of Art and Architecture
- Middle Eastern and European Languages and Cultures
- Neuroscience: Biological and Biomedical Sciences
Years Three and Four
After completing their senior Fresher year at Trinity, Dual BA Program students will matriculate at the Columbia University School of General Studies (GS), where they will further their study in one of the approved Columbia majors and participate in Columbia’s core curriculum in a variety of disciplines, including literature, art, music, science, and the humanities. Built into the program is the opportunity to gain the extra credits necessary for the Trinity BA.
Upon completion of the Program, students graduate with two bachelor’s degrees, one each from Trinity and Columbia, and will also become members of the global alumni networks of two world-renowned universities.
