Columbia Alumni Benefits

Upon graduation, School of General Studies alumni automatically become members of the Columbia Alumni Association (CAA) and the General Studies Alumni Association (GSAA). GS alumni are provided a broad array of services and benefits which are offered to all Columbia University alumni through the CAA. This includes a directory of alumni clubs, events and interest groups, as well as a wide range of additional benefits and discounts on things such as arts events, computer equipment, financial products, insurance, lodging and more.

Alumni also have access to many Columbia facilities and programs, including the Columbia library system; Course Auditing through the School of Professional Studies; the Alumni Travel Study Program; Dodge Fitness Center and Faculty House. To find out about these and many more benefits available to Columbia alumni, please visit the Columbia Alumni Association.

Online Networking

Columbia Alumni Directory
Connect with other Columbia alumni via the Columbia Alumni Directory. The CAA also offers Columbia Alumni email accounts for those alumni who wish to create one.

LinkedIn
You can also connect with Columbia alumni via LinkedIn. To join the Columbia alumni group automatically, get a Columbia e-mail address and set it as your default LinkedIn address. You can also click to join without a Columbia address, but it may take up to five days to be approved.

Social Media
GS Alumni are also encouraged to connect with other alumni and current students on Twitter, YouTube and Facebook via the GS page and the GS Alumni page.

Center for Career Education

Through one-on-one counseling, publications, and targeted programs and workshops, the Center for Career Education (CCE) helps alumni with career transitions, self-assessment, job search skills and tools, and career planning. Additional resources available to alumni include job postings via LionSHARE, resume and interview assistance, career fairs, and access to the Career Resource Center.
