On Saturday, October 16, for the first time in two years, Columbia alumni and their families gathered together in person to celebrate Homecoming Weekend.

GS welcomed close to 100 alumni and their guests to the outdoor picnic lunch at Columbia’s Baker Athletics Complex in New York City. Guests were treated to a meet and greet with Roar-ee the Lion, a performance by Columbia’s cheerleading squad, and outdoor lawn games for guests of all ages.

Volunteers from the Board of the GS Alumni Association (GSAA) were on hand to help distribute school branded t-shirts, notebooks, and other school memorabilia.

“It is surreal to see so many friendly faces after two years of not being together at this event. What a thrill to be able to gather this way”, said Aviva Zablocki, Director of Alumni Relations for GS.

At the 1:30 p.m. kick-off, Columbia celebrated its 80th Homecoming at Baker Athletic Complex, topping the day with a 23-14 win over Penn.

Details on upcoming alumni events both virtual and in-person are available on the GS Alumni Facebook page or by contacting [email protected].
