Columbia University Interschool Fellowships are funds that are not limited to specific schools or colleges, but have been donated to support students who meet specific criteria. Columbia has a central process to allow all students meeting the unique criteria of each scholarship equal opportunity to apply for these funds. The deadline to apply is Friday, July 31.

All University students are potentially eligible. To be considered, students must demonstrate financial need, in addition to meeting the unique criteria of the specific fund they are applying for. Listed below are scholarships that may pertain to GS students.

Columbia University Interschool Fellowships

Paul Nichoplas Scholarship Fund
Intended to benefit a student who has attended a college or university in Greece.It is available to undergraduate students for two years. Applicants must submit an affidavit or transcript.

Vladimir and Olga Poder Fund
Intended to benefit Estonian-speaking students attending Columbia. The fellowship cannot be greater than $2,000 annually. Verification that the student speaks Estonian must be submitted via a letter from the NY Estonian House located at 243 East 34th Street, New York, NY.

Richard T. Wamser Fellowship
Available to undergraduate students of Native American descent. To verify that the student meets the criteria, they must provide one of the following: Certification of Report of Birth issued by Dept. of State (DS-1350), U.S. Citizen ID Card (I-197 or I-179), or Native American tribal documents. Students must work at least 10-20 hours per week during the term they receive assistance from the fund. Students involved in athletic activities should also include a written statement outlining their participation.
