Apply for the Global Columbia Collaboratory's Fall Program

Global Columbia Collaboratory's fall program is now accepting applications for participation. After a successful summer pilot, the Collaboratory has a new opportunity for undergraduates and global experts to discuss and design solutions for challenges facing our world. Fall 2020 will focus on the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, which include issues such as climate action, reducing inequalities and clean water and sanitation.

Fall participants will:

  • Attend virtual global seminars and hear from faculty and experts drawn from Columbia’s global network
  • Engage in facilitated reflections to consider ways sustainable development has affected their communities
  • Have the opportunity to design solutions and work with others to make a concrete difference in the world
  • Receive funding to support participation and project development

The Global Columbia Collaboratory, a global virtual exchange, was developed by the Center for Undergraduate Global Engagement (UGE) in partnership Columbia College, the Columbia Global Centers and Columbia World Projects. The summer launch program, focused on the theme of COVID-19, included students from the College, Engineering and General Studies from over 30 different majors, who formed a community of global thinkers and problem-solvers. Students then formed nine project teams to tackle specific issues and topics of interest. Their work is now featured in an online gallery.
