Alumnus Creates Fellowship for GS Students

GS alumnus Roger Pilon ’71 and his wife Juliana Geran Pilon have generously created a new fellowship program available exclusively to Columbia University School of General Studies students.

September 14, 2015

The Roger Pilon Fellowship, administered by the Institute for Humane Studies at George Mason University, whose mission is to advance a freer society by discovering and facilitating the development of talented students, scholars, and other intellectuals, awards two qualified GS students $10,000 each.  The fellowship, awarded annually, can be used for tuition, fees, housing costs, and other expenses associated with the pursuit of a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Eligible students must be enrolled full time for the 2015-2016 academic year. Preference will be given to students who plan to pursue academic or legal careers, especially in political philosophy, law, history, and economics. Veterans of the U.S. armed forces will also receive special consideration.
