It is with great sadness that I must share with you the news of the passing of Mr. Jonathan Krueger. On June 20, Jonathan lost his battle with cancer. Jonathan joined the Columbia community in the fall of 2008 and quickly distinguished himself as a student scholar, especially in the field of economics. In 2010, he was inducted into the GS Honor Society and this past spring he was inducted into the GS chapter of Phi Beta Kappa before graduating magna cum laude in May. I know that all of you join me in sending our deepest condolences to Jonathan’s family, friends, and classmates.
A memorial in celebration of Jonathan’s life will be held on Saturday, June 30 from 12-2 p.m. in the Presidential Room of the Columbia University Faculty House, which is located on 64 Morningside Drive.
