GS alumna and Special Advisor to Columbia University President Bollinger Susan K. Feagin '74 was recently honored in a formal dedication of the Susan K. Feagin Welcome Center at the Columbia Alumni Center.

During the ceremony President Lee C. Bollinger said, “The defining characteristic of Susan’s extraordinary accomplishments lies in her deep capacity to draw people in and to work together to achieve seemingly unattainable goals. Columbia, and higher education generally, have been the grateful beneficiaries of this remarkable ability. It is most appropriate that we celebrate her achievements here, in the house that Susan built.”

Feagin, who has served the University in leadership positions primarily in institutional advancement off and on since 1968, has been recognized for her outstanding contribution to higher education many times. In 2014 she was honored with an E. Burr Gibson Lifetime Achievement Award from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). A 2011 Alumni Medalist, she has also endowed several named GS scholarships, which include the Susan Kay Feagin Scholarship.
