Admitted Students Receptions

Admitted Students Receptions

The Office of Admissions hosts an Admitted Students Day on-campus during the summer for the fall incoming class. The Admitted Student Reception and Luncheon is a two hour informal event. The purpose is to encourage admitted students to accept the offer and enroll in Columbia University School of General Studies. The reception allows students to meet potential classmates and learn more about the stories and experiences of current students and alumni. Dean Awn and current students give short speeches and discuss the program and the incredible opportunities offered to members of the Columbia GS community. Each alumni ambassador will anchor a table of between six and eight admitted students during the luncheon. This is an opportunity for the participants to learn more about GS and how a Columbia education is a transformative and enriching experience.
