Current Students

Continuing students must reapply for both institutional scholarships and federal financial aid every year. Applications must be submitted by the appropriate deadline in order to receive priority consideration. Applications will be accepted after the deadline, but funds may be limited.

Deadlines for Financial Aid Consideration

Institutional Aid

  • GS Scholarship Application deadline: April 15
     
  • FAFSA deadline: April 30
    All applicants for a GS Scholarship who are  U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens (e.g., permanent residents)  must complete the FAFSA. The FAFSA code for Columbia University is 002707.
          
  • Planned Enrollment Form deadline: April 30
    • In order to access the Planned Enrollment Form, you will need your Columbia Student ID number, or PID, which consists of the letter C followed by 9 numbers. Your PID can be found on any page in SSOL (if you do not see it, change your viewing options).

Federal Aid

  • Perkins Loans, SEOG, and Work-Study
    • FAFSA priority deadline: April 30
    • The FAFSA code for Columbia University is 002707.
    • Planned Enrollment Form deadline: April 30
    • In order to access the Planned Enrollment Form, you will need your Columbia Student ID number, or PID, which consists of the letter C followed by 9 numbers. Your PID can be found on any page in SSOL (if you do not see it, change your viewing options).

  • Pell Grant and Federal Direct Loans
  • Planned Enrollment Form deadline: June 1
