Join the Office of Student Life in reading and discussing Matthew Desmond’s Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City. Evicted is a non- fiction book where the author follows eight families in Milwaukee, Wisconsin as they each struggle with poverty and homelessness following the financial crisis of 2007-2008. This space will offer the opportunity to engage in a critical discussion regarding poverty, economic exploitation, and affordable housing. To participate, students must read the book prior to the program.
