Online: FLI Friday - Build Connections to Support Your Career

February 5, 2021
1:30 PM - 2:30 PM
America/New_York
Online

The Dean of Students Office invites first-generation and low-income students to gather for a monthly community space and resource share. During this session, join a special discussion with career counselors from the Center for Career Education (CCE) who will offer support for how to build and develop your network specifically for FLI students.

We recognize that this is a challenging time and that you may be navigating uncertainty particularly related to your career interests and plans. CCE will provide some concrete strategies for ways that you can build connections and work with CCE including using LionSHARE as a hub of information and developing your narrative when meeting career professionals. CCE can support GS students in translating past experience and skills when building connections. There is no preparation necessary for the session and we will be sure to leave time to talk through any questions.

Presenters: Jennifer Preis, Hannah Tenadu, Monica Cano

The Zoom link to participate will be emailed to registrants 30 minutes prior to the start of the event. If you have not received the Zoom link at this time please email [email protected].
