The connective art workshop Crafting Commonality returns to campus this spring with three art-making sessions. These consist of handmade papermaking sessions for Columbia University communities of veterans, immigrants, and allies. In this process, led by David Keefe, participants share stories while deconstructing clothes, uniforms, and cultural objects to be reclaimed into handmade paper. The stories and images are then printed on the newly formed paper and hung in an optional exhibition. Please email David Keefe if you have any questions.
