Application Launchpad, Session II: The Applicaton Year

December 4, 2020
10:00 AM - 11:00 AM
America/New_York
Online

The purpose of this session is to discuss an aspect of the application process that postbac students often overlook and assume will somehow take care of itself: how applicants spend their time during the application year when they are not engaged in applicant-related activities. The importance of this should not be underestimated. Forming plans far enough in advance can make the difference between a year meaningfully spent and one in which you spend half your time figuring out your plans. It also will give you new and interesting things to tell either your interviewer or the admissions committee at large through the process of sending updates to your application.

The Zoom link to participate will be emailed to registrants prior to the start of the event.

The Application Launchpad Events Series

The Application Launchpad Events Series is intended for GS premeds (postbacs and undergrads) who have recently attended a General Applicants Meeting and are planning to apply to medical (or dental or veterinary) school over the summer 2021 for the Entering Class of 2022 (EC22). The series starts in the fall semester because the application cycle will begin before you know it, and there are some actions it may be worth taking now. Also, having some basic information about applying and knowing what to anticipate could be useful. We hope these discussions help to inform individual consultations you may have with your advisor.
