Position Description
The MOTIVATE Research Lab, led by Dr. Melanie Jay, is seeking a student, interested in pursuing a career in healthcare and obesity-related research, to serve as a research intern to assist with a trial focusing on obesity prevention. This announcement is for the Firework (Financial Incentives for Weight Reduction) study, which is testing different models of financial incentives for weight loss in low-income neighborhoods.
Responsibilities Include
- Conducting literature searches
- Recruiting patients/subjects by phone and/or mail
- Performing study visits, piloting materials in primary care
- Performing data analysis
- Piloting materials in primary care
- Analysing data
- Preparing abstracts and manuscripts
- Performing administrative duties
Position Requirements
- Must be bilingual in English and Spanish
Time Commitment
Part-time (10 hours a week), with a minimum commitment of one year.
