Position Description
The Department of Neurology at Columbia University Medical Center is seeking a Research Assistant for a project in the Division of Child Neurology at Columbia University Medical Center. The candidate will report to the Principal Investigator of the studies under consideration and provide support in executing disease research initiatives related to a number of neurological disorders.

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating and maintaining a database of patients seen at CUMC with concern for developmental delays and autism
  • Creating and maintaining a database of a newly described neurodevelopmental disorder
  • Submitting the protocol to the CUMC IRB
  • Assisting with subject recruitment
  • Maintaining compliance with existing policies and procedures at Columbia University, the IRB, FDA, NIH, and NYPH that relate to clinical research conducted in the division
  • Assisting with grant writing and design for projects, data analysis, preparation of original articles for publication, or presentation at conferences

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 1.5 years of related experience or equivalent in education, training, and experience
  • Experience with database entry a plus
  • Experience with Redcap a plus

Time Commitment
Part-time (17.5 hours per week)

Compensation
Grade 102
