Position Description
Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons Course: Foundations of Clinical Medicine is seeking a clerkship coordinator. The Clerkship Coordinator will support the Clerkship Director to match first-year medical students with a clerkship-supervisor for two 6 or 7-week sessions. He/she will communicate with clerkship supervisors and students throughout the fall semester to ensure that their experiences are satisfactory, and will escalate any concerns to the Clerkship Director.
Responsibilities Include
- Ensuring that the supervisors' contact and match information is accurate for other staff/faculty members' reference.
- Helping prepare materials for thank you letters to be sent by Clerkship Director and Foundations of Clinical Medicine
- Organizing the clerkship files
- Assisting with ad hoc projects for several weeks in the spring
Position Requirements
- Must be eligible for a federal work-study
- Must have familiarity with Excel/Google Sheets
Time Commitment
Part-time, 5- 18 hours per week/flexible.
Compensation
$15 per hour
