Position Description
Weill Cornell Medical Center is seeking a research coordinator to work in their cardiovascular imaging lab.
Responsibilities include:
- Updating and submitting documents required by the Institutional Board (IRB)
- Obtaining signatures and forwarding documents and/or forms to appropriate destination
- Preparing and submitting enrollment statistics as is required
- Screening and collecting patient information which could entail abstraction of data from the patient chart and imaging reports
- Auditing and updating existing research databases
- Conducting study visits, obtaining and documenting information within time frame specified
- Collecting, compiling and conducting preliminary analyses of data, statistics, and other materials for abstracts and manuscripts
- Screening potential patients for eligibility to existing studies and schedules visits
- Reviewing elements of screening process with the Principal Investigator including inclusion/exclusion criteria, completed informed consent, and the patient/subject willingness to participate in the study
- Assisting in the preparation of grant applications and related activities including developing grants proposals
- Collecting and organizing required paperwork for submission
- Assisting in the preparation of progress reports to aid in timely submission to funding agencies
- Drafting budgets and assisting in the preparation of funding reports to agencies.
Position Requirements
- Prior experience in clinical research coordination or related fields is required
- Experience working in an academic medical center is a plus
Time Commitment
Full-time, with a one-year commitment
