Position Description
The Cardiovascular Research Program, Northwell Health at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell is seeking a full-time research associate to support the Cardiovascular Clinical Research Program at the busy tertiary care academic medical center in New York. The opportunity is ideal for a post-undergraduate individual who is interested in a career in medicine who wishes to acquire research experience prior to or while applying to medical school.
Responsibilities Include
- Conducting background literature reviews
- Designing and writing research protocols
- Conducting patient screening, consent, enrollment, data entry, and study-related assessments
- Participating in strategic meetings with industry partners to discuss clinical trials
- Writing manuscripts and creating presentation for academic talks and participation in national meetings
Position Requirements
- Prior research experience, a plus
- Candidate should be available for part-time training beginning in early Summer 2020 with anticipated full-time commitment beginning in mid-Summer 2020.
