Position Description
The Neurologic Intensive Care Unit (NICU) research team in the Division of Critical Care and Hospitalist Neurology at Columbia University is looking for a clinical research coordinator who will be responsible for the day-to-day operational duties of ongoing research projects in the NICU including coordination and administration of clinical trials. There will be an opportunity to work on mentored independent research projects and attend national conferences. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who will be applying for medical school or residency programs. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing and executing CRP/IRB submissions for initial approvals
  • Ensuring timeliness and accuracy of all submissions
  • Overseeing and conducting the screening and informed consent processes for research studies
  • Updating screening tracking worksheets on a routine basis
  • Ensuring subject/investigator compliance with research procedures and escalates issues to supervisor as needed
  • Managing data collection specific to research studies
  • Administering surveys (phone/email/in-person) and coordinates research-related visits and follow-ups with all relevant multidisciplinary teams

Position Requirements

  • Must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education
  • Must have training and experience
  • Two years of related experience, a plus
