Position Description
The TCAN Lab at UC Davis is seeking a research assistant for the “Effects of PFC tDCS on Cognitive Control, Attention Lapses and Coordinated Neural Activity in the Theta and Alpha Bands” project. This project will focus on using a non-invasive brain stimulation technique to test a theoretical model in which attention lapses are regulated by the suite of cognitive control functions mediated by the prefrontal cortex.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating the scheduling of research appointments with other junior specialists on the project and track completion of all research appointments for the study
  • Conducting tDCS, EEG and MRI scan sessions with all participants
  • Maintaining databases of all study data, including demographic, symptom, and cognitive data
  • Fulfilling IRB protocol maintenance

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, psychobiology, neuroscience, computer science, or a related field
  • Experience collecting and organizing data
  • Fluency in Spanish (oral & written) a plus
  • Previous experience collecting tDCS, EEG or MRI data a plus
  • Computer programming experience (e.g. R, python, Matlab, Unix shell)

Time Commitment
Full-time with a one year commitment

Compensation
$44.5K+, based on experience
