Position Description
Millennium Podiatry is seeking a medical assistant. This is ideal for a student who is taking a gap year between undergraduate and professional schools.
Responsibilities include:
- Greeting patients and providing necessary paperwork for completion
- Obtaining current patient insurance and demographic information and ensuring the information is entered into the EMR system
- Verifying insurance coverage and speaking with insurance companies
- Handling busy phone lines and answering email correspondence
- Scheduling/rescheduling patient appointments
- Performing X-Rays, Fluoroscopy, and a variety of therapeutic and aesthetic laser treatments
- Assisting in exam rooms with consultations and procedures
- Keeping up the cleanliness of exam rooms in between patients
- Ordering supplies for the office
- Managing social media for the office
- Maintaining general knowledge of back-office protocols and assisting with training
Position Requirements
Time Commitment
Full-time, Mon. - Fri., with 1-2 year minimum commitment.
Compensation
$20 - $30 per hour based on experience
