Position Description
The Massachusetts General Hospital Division of Cardiology is seeking an experienced individual for a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) I position to assist with ongoing and future clinical research studies. This position will provide experience in the field of cardiology in an academic clinical research setting.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing investigational device trials under the supervision of the PI, including data entry and accuracy, IRB maintenance, and extensive patient interaction with study participants
- Maintaining research data, patient files, and study database
- Acting as a liaison between Sponsor and PI
- Organizing and managing study data
- Developing and implementing recruitment strategies
- Screening patients for enrollment into clinical trials, and following research subjects per study protocol
- Acting as study resource for patient and family in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Submitting all IRB documentation
- Preparing documents and study binders for FDA audits, if needed
- Orienting and training junior team members on study protocols, as needed
- Directing patient care charges appropriately
- Assisting in coordination of an outpatient follow-up clinic
- Preparing invoices and directing, verifying, and correcting patient care charges
Position Requirements
- Must hold a bachelor's degree
- Previous experience in clinical research a plus
- Analytical skills and ability to resolve technical problems
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Training in CITI and GCP a plus
Time Commitment
Full-time, with a minimum commitment of two years
