Position Description
Dr. Lisa Mandl with the Hospital for Special Surgery is seeking a clinical research assistant to work on studies involving arthritis and total joint replacements. The successful applicant must be available for at least a full 12 months but preferred a 24 month commitment.
Responsibilities Include:
- Administering questionnaires to patients in person, by mail, and by phone
- Acting as a resource for patients regarding study consent forms
- Sending out letters to patients inviting them to participate in studies
- Acting as a liaison between physicians, physician's office staff and study participants
- Coordinating patient visits with physician schedules
- Being a contact person for patients to call regarding questions about study protocols
- Calling patients between visits to ensure compliance and answer any questions
- Setting up electronic databases and creating electronic data collection forms
- Performing data entry
- Organizing and maintaining all paperwork related to the study
- Assisting in grant submission
Time Commitment
Full-time starting in May or June 2021, with 12-24 month commitment
Compensation
$40K per year
