Position Description
The Laboratory of Inflammatory Skin Diseases in the Department of Dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking an associate researcher to manage the imaging platform in the department.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing immunohistochemistry on human samples, of imaging immunostained samples and of analyzing and organizing images, under minimal supervision.
- Creating a database that will be a crucial tool to help with the growth of the laboratory.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in life science.
- Master's degree a plus.
- Prior lab experience a plus.
- Experience in histology, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and microscopy a plus.
- Prior experience in tissue imaging and marker expression quantification a plus.
- Computer skills such as building and management of database(s) a plus.
- Knowledge of qPCR, RNA-Seq, and tissue culture a plus.
