2013-2014 Postbac Premed Orgo/Bio Scholarship Eligibility
Scholarship applicants must be current students planning to enroll in their orgo-bio year and in at least six credit hours per semester. The awards are both need-based and merit-based. Applicants must complete the 2013-2014 FAFSA and the Planned Enrollment Form to be considered.
How to Apply
Because it is not possible for applicants to save their work and return to the application at a later time, applicants are encouraged to prepare the brief statement in advance it in a word processing program.
Scholarship Notification
Responses to the applications are expected to be sent out in late July.
Private Loans and Federal Aid
Depending on how continuing Postbac Premed students* chose to receive Federal Direct Loans in the 2012-2013 academic year, they may have additional eligibility for the summer and/or fall semester of the 2013-2014 year.
As a reminder, all students interested in Federal Direct Loans must complete the FAFSA and the GS Planned Enrollment Form.
All students interested in certification of a private educational loan will need to complete the Planned Enrollment Form.
*Continuing students are those who first enrolled prior to summer 2013.
Appointments
The GS Office of Educational Financing staff is here to help students process loans and provide other counseling. Students are encouraged to schedule an appointment, particularly if they need more information on private loan eligibility for 2013-2014.
